Yes. CEUs for Teachers is approved through the North Mississippi Education Consortium (NMEC). Mississippi educators complete approved coursework and receive the required documentation through that process.

What is an accredited CEU-granting agency?

MDE identifies continuing education offices at colleges, universities, and community or junior colleges as accredited professional learning credit-granting agencies.

How many CEUs do I need?

Requirements depend on license class. Class A educators may use 10 CEUs as one renewal option, while advanced Class AA, AAA, and AAAA licenses may use five CEUs as one option.

How do I submit my certificate?

Eligible CEU certificates can be uploaded through your Mississippi Educator Career Continuum Archive, or MECCA, account.

Do credits have to be earned during my current cycle?

Yes. MDE states that renewal coursework and professional learning credit must be completed within the current renewal cycle.
